The City of Makarska Tourist Board opened its virtual doors to its citizens and tourists through a modern and interactive virtual walk. On the initiative of the City of Makarska Tourist Board, digital agency L33T took all the steps and preparatory measures and in cooperation with the Tourist Board and the City created a project with a virtual walk, a catalog of tourist photos and a promotional film.
In order for the project to show the core of the city in as much detail as possible, 83 virtual panoramas were taken, and the production included more than 5,000 photos from the air and ground, as well as over 100 minutes of footage for the production of a promotional film. .
The virtual walk also contains interesting short texts in Croatian and English, which additionally attract visitors and inform them about the most important places. The virtual walks are created in HTML5 technology, which works on all platforms and devices without additional installation of applications or the like, but directly through an Internet browser. The interface displays panoramas in a resolution of more than 200 MP, offering the possibility to view even the smallest details in each captured location. Multi-resolution scaling ensures smooth and fast loading of the content. The virtual walk is fully supported by VR, taking the user experience to an even higher level through all types of VR glasses.
